Designed to help protect you, your passengers, the battery and other road users, I-PACE has been engineered to include a wealth of safety features.
EXTERNAL SOUND SYSTEM
I-PACE emits an external acoustic signal at speeds under 20km/h (12mph) to help make pedestrians aware of the car’s presence.
AIRBAGS
A comprehensive system of six airbags including driver and passenger airbags, side curtain and thorax are standard to help protect occupants.
ISOFIX
Two ISOFIX points for baby/child seats are fitted on each side of the rear seats. There are no points for the centre back seat.
DRIVER ASSISTANCE – STANDARD FEATURES
REAR CAMERA
The Rear Camera provides improved visibility when reversing. To assist with parking, static lines representing the projected path of your vehicle appear on the Touchscreen.
EMERGENCY BRAKING
Helps to prevent collisions with other vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists using camera, radar and ultrasonic sensors. If a potential front collision is detected, the system gives audible and visual warnings. If no action is taken, the system applies the brakes to help reduce the severity of the possible impact.
CRUISE CONTROL AND SPEED LIMITER
Cruise Control enables you to maintain a constant speed without continued use of the accelerator pedal. Using Speed Limiter, you can set a maximum vehicle speed.
TRAFFIC SIGN RECOGNITION AND ADAPTIVE SPEED LIMITER
Traffic Sign Recognition keeps you informed of speed limits and ‘no overtaking’ signs by displaying them clearly in the instrument cluster. When activated, Adaptive Speed Limiter uses recognised speed limits to adjust your vehicle's speed accordingly.
DRIVER CONDITION MONITOR
By monitoring steering inputs, brake and throttle pedal activity, Driver Condition Monitor detects if you’re starting to feel drowsy and gives you an early warning when you need to take a break.
LANE KEEP ASSIST
Detects when the vehicle is unintentionally drifting out of the lane and applies a corrective torque to the steering wheel to encourage you to guide your vehicle back.
FRONT AND REAR PARKING AID
Front and Rear Parking Aid uses sensors located in the front and rear bumpers which will indicate your proximity to nearby obstacles, to help make manoeuvring that little bit easier.
OPTIONAL PARKING FEATURES
3D SURROUND CAMERA
3D Surround Camera now incorporates 360° parking aid features. Views of four cameras placed discreetly around the vehicle are intelligently fused together, to provide 3D viewing perspectives of the vehicle on the Touchscreen that are otherwise impossible to obtain without getting out the vehicle.
DRIVER ASSISTANCE: OPTIONAL PACKS
Each pack offers a range of features to help keep you safe and informed. Blind Spot Assist Pack is standard on I‑PACE SE. Driver Assist Pack is standard on I‑PACE HSE.
BLIND SPOT ASSIST1
If I-PACE detects another car in your blind spot when you begin to change lanes, a warning light illuminates in the corresponding door mirror and steering torque encourages you to guide your vehicle away from a potential collision.
REAR TRAFFIC MONITOR
Particularly useful when reversing out of a parking bay, Rear Traffic Monitor warns you of hazards approaching from either side of your vehicle. It will alert you with both audio and visual warnings so you know what’s behind, even with an obstructed view.
CLEAR EXIT MONITOR
Alerts passengers leaving the vehicle from the rear doors to approaching cars or cyclists. When an oncoming hazard is detected, a warning light will flash on the door. The light will immediately go off when the door is safe to open.
BLIND SPOT ASSIST PACK
Our Blind Spot Assist Pack helps you to identify and safely respond to potential collisions so you can feel more confident on any drive. Contains: Blind Spot Assist1, Rear Traffic Monitor and Clear Exit Monitor.
ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL WITH STEERING ASSIST
Adaptive Cruise Control with Steering Assist helps make motorway driving and heavy traffic situations even easier and more comfortable. It achieves this by gently assisting with steering, acceleration and braking to centre the vehicle in-lane and maintain a set distance from vehicles ahead. You’ll feel it working with you as you keep your hands on the wheel and monitor your surroundings.
REAR COLLISION MONITOR
If a vehicle approaching from behind is not slowing down, I-PACE will attempt to alert the approaching driver to brake by automatically flashing the hazard lights.
PARK ASSIST
Parallel parking is made even easier with Park Assist, steering your vehicle into and out of a suitable space. After selecting either Drive or Reverse, you only have to control the vehicle’s speed. Graphics and notifications will guide you through the manoeuvres.
3D SURROUND CAMERA
3D Surround Camera uses four different inbuilt cameras to deliver an innovative, third‑person visualisation of your I-PACE. New 3D perspectives and a 360° overhead view make manoeuvring easier.
